I remember back in 1986 with the howard beach incident. A black kid got chased and was hit by a car which was a tragedy. Neighborhoods were very territorial back then. Anyway blacks decided to protest and every italian in howard beach stood guard and watched as the protestors marched. Not one window was broken and not one bottle was thrown. The protestors knew not to fuck around. Same thing in 1989 in bensonhurst brooklyn. Blacks protested but no damage, the italians protected bensonhurst.
If people toughen up, this shit will end quick. These protestors are different, they know they can get away with their behavior.

Hey big, what does justice look like? It doesn't look like the cops in Philly who were setting people up, had one of their own, a cop, testify against them and they still beat the rap. But you didn't see people hurt innocent people over it. Is that justice? I hear rikers is like hell on earth.

Here we go. I had a shitty night at work taking care of a covid patient with minimal supplies and staff because of corporate greed. I should rally my fellow nurses and burn every hospital. Instead, like civilized human beings, we peacefully protested in front of the hospital.
