Casso will obviously be in protective custody so trying to get to him ain't going to happen. Also if they do hit him the feds will "pull a Meldish" and arrest the whole Lucchese administration and put em all on the hook for murder.

Doesn't Casso come off as a hypocrite for later claiming disgust over Gotti's murder of Castellano, yet when Gravano told authorities that Casso had no qualms seeing Big Paulie get whacked? Also, was the attempted hit on Costello sanctioned by the Commission? When Paul got hit Casso wasn't even UB or capo I believe he was still Christie Ticks aide de camp

Casso was a soldier who was to be reckoned with. DeCicco and Gravano felt him out, and told him he didnt care what they did, but kept his mouth shut after. Angelo already told them they had approval from the Colombo family which is backed up with the bug recording the meeting, and Gotti said he had Joe Massino of the Bonanno in his pocket, but all evidence points to Joe not having a clue about Castellano, but I think Anthony Spero might have had a clue. The Costello hit was not approved by the Commission, evidence by numerous sources, informants and bugs on the commission member families. leonetti said that his uncle checked, and it was apparently approved, considering his sources would probley be very high up genovese, it muddys the waters, dont think we can stamp it either way.

It wasnt approved by the commission thats why the CHIN, came after GOTTI, Gravano, said they recieved support from the luchese and colombo families The Bonanno's Gotti was tight with Massino so I guess he didnt worry about them, they weren't on the commission at that time

I find it silly for Chin to claim high ground when Castellano was clipped, yet Vincent himself was involved in a botched hit that probably wasn't Commission approved.

Massino was not in power at the time. 86. I think he was actually in jail at this time. Regardless, the bonannos were kicked off the commission at this time anyways. As for casso... he TRIED to pull his cards about the mafia cops. But he lied from the get go. And I'm sure he is still in PC in prison.

And I'm sure he is still in PC in prison Massino was basically the boss since 82..that’s why when he and Phil went away in 86,Sal Vitale and Spero we’re running the family. if it wasn’t for Joe ,Sal would have still been a correctional officer much less the boss of an organized crime family ... Casso was caught in SOME lies but the main thing was that in the wit sec unit he formed his own mob and had a girl smuggling in coke and weed that they were selling
