That was some funny stuff, DB!! All of it true!

Funny thing, I wondered what the meaning behind the name Janu was so I looked at several sites and they all had the same meaning for Janu and any derivatives : Born in January. That's original!! Wonder if Coby thought hard about this???!!

Can the American Idol season be ANY longer? Don't know about you guys but I am ready to end this farce already.

For those of you who DON'T want to know what the contestants are singing tonight...Look away!

**SPOILERS**

Clive Davis is guest judge tonight - AGAIN. Doesn't he show up every year?

He picks a song for the 3 contestants, the judges pick a song and then the 3 have their choice. Three songs total. Get the popcorn ready....

Clive's choices:

Carrie - Man, I Feel Like a Woman (Shania) Trainwreck alert!

Bo - Satisfaction (Stones) good one trick pony song choice

Vonzell - On The Radio (Donna Summer) - hasn't this song been done to death???

The Judge's picks:

Carrie - Cryin' (Roy Orbison) Great song, can she pull this off? I seriously hear a train comin'!

Bo - Don't Let The Sun go Down On Me (Elton) Can't wait to hear this...good song choice for him I think

Vonzell - I'll Never Love This Way Again (Dionne Warwick) I think she can OWN this song if done right

As for the contestant's choices, they were not reported as the above by ET.

Film at 11 (7 MST)

I have to say Bo dominated the show tonight, especially the 2nd song with no band he's got a awesome voice. He got my vote.

Yep it was Bo's night for sure. I can't believe that Simon wasn't drooling all over Carrie like usual and he was rather nice to Vonzell. I voted for Vonzell a few times and Bo. My wish is for Carrie to go home tomorrow but I don't think that will happen.

Bo was amazing. One trick pony - be damned. He definitely saved the best for last - or at least the end of the season.

Carrie's Shania song was horrendous. But an out of tune, robotic Carrie is still better than a screeching, pitchy, nervous Vonzell - as the voters will attest to tonight.

Bo/Carrie finale.

I was convinced finally, tonight - Bo should win this whole she-bang.

It was definitely Bo's night. He was outstanding.

As for Carrie, I expected her to seriously kick some butt with the Shania Twain song and it sucked.

Vonzell was good, better on the second and third song than the first.

Although I think that Carrie was technically a better singer, I have to admit that I just feel like she's a cold fish and doesn't have the charisma. Personality-wise, I think Vonzell would make a better choice for bottom 2 along with Bo. However, I don't think that's going to happen.

Apprentice :

Did anyone catch Donald Trump on Larry King Live last night?

He did admit he's 'gearing' toward a particular winner for Thursday's show...but still needs to see how each of the final two conducts themselves during the final interview in front of 20 million viewers!

Never thought I'd be saying this before the final task, but....GO KENDRA!!!!

Oh please!!! Carrie's okay and all, but how the hell would she outlast Vonzell?? Bo's song was awesome, as was Vonzell's. But Carrie is the weakest link (oops, wrong show) -- but unfortunately Vonzell was voted off.

I am mad as a hornet . What in the heck is America thinking? I guess my votes for Vonzell didn't count. Will she be able to go back to the Post Office or did she have to quit?
Well we all know who will win next week so there is no need to watch.

I was suprised to see Vonzell get the boot last night I felt she was better than Carrie.

Seem's to be more of a popularity contest than talent anymore.

True shocker would be Bo getting the boot in the finale!!

Why is everyone so surprised to see Vonzell go? Face it, we all knew it. Sad, but true. What a beautiful and sweet gal she is.

I posted my prediction of a Carrie/Bo finale on March 31:

What about all this talk about a 'rocker' winning it?

Season 1 winner: Kelly (young white woman)

Season 2: Ruuuuuuben (big black man)

Season 3: Fantasia (young black woman)

Season 4: 'Rocker'

Makes perfect sense to me.

If the final 2 were picked RIGHT now, I would honestly have to say it would be fair to be Bo and Carrie.

Just as the show pimped out Mantasia last year from the beginning, same rules applied to Carrie and Bo. The difference between them is I think Bo has grown more as an artist and has transformed himself into the full package the show is looking for.

Carrie got fat and still has zero personality. I about DIED when she said last night "My face hurts from smiling so much!" Must be a new thing for her that she is trying out...S-m-i-l-i-n-g...

Bo's voice is so pure. I wish he would take Simon's advice and do more softer rocker ballads.

Well Vonzie should be very proud of herself. I wonder what the chances are someone will give her a recording contract anyway?

I don't think its a matter of chance. She has the talent, she was one of the most talented singers AI has ever seen. She'll get a contract, its just a matter of time.

I think the success factor is very good for some 3rd and 2nd place finishers of the show. Can you say Clay Aiken? You hear him on every station out there and he was way more played on the air than Ruben. If I am not mistaken, his CD was alot more well received and possibly sold more than Ruben's as well.

Diana Digarmo got her contract. So did Kimberly Locke and to be honest, I hear and see her all over the place as well.

Kim Caldwell is doing well reporting for TV Guide channel and another entertainment series whose name escapes me.

I hear Josh Gracin's music on the country channel all the time and see his videos on CMT.

Jasmine Trias, La Toya London and some others have CD's out there, though I have not personally heard them.

Vonzell should have no problem sealing a deal. Perhaps Clive will give her a call? You go girl!!!

I think coming in 2nd place (ala Clay Aiken) would probably be the best thing. You would be contacted by many sources and could pick and choose who you want to sign with and not have to adhere to the strict AI contract and policies. Should I hope now that Bo comes in 2nd place so that he can make the kind of music he wants to and work with a label he likes?

Perhaps he will go on tour with Skynnrd!!! :p

After viewing the recap of previous episodes on the Apprentice finale last night, I came away with a newfound respect for Kendra.

I admit I did not see early episodes of the show and the ones I DID see, I viewed her as a whiny, immature brat. Though I still think she has issues with other people, she NAILED every single one of her responses last night! I don't think she could have answered questions asked of her any better. I was also able to see her track record and her innovative ideas clearer in the recap.

Tana on the other hand - um, got a "little freaked out" ?? Wow All the finger pointing gestures and the woofing with her fist in the air. All I can say is...Wow. Surprised the Donald didn't fire her right on the spot.

Sooooooo, tell me. Does the Donald really hate the crying or not? I think he needed something negative to say about Kendra and that is about all he could come up with. Her response to the crying issue was perfect!!

If Tana had not been such a loose cannon, I would have supported him possibly trying to hire them both - Tana with her PR skills to do the Miss Universe pagaent and Kendra with her RE background to renovate the mansion.

But considering Tana couldn't find a freakin' American flag in her last task - she surely couldn't coordinate a pagaent full of swimsuit wearin', tiara adorned beauty queens AND their entourages.... :p

Needless to say, Kendra made me a believer in the last 2 episodes and I am happy with the final result. When she is finished with the mansion, she could probably always cut a deal with the Sony Playstation people!

I had to attend a concert at my niece's high school last night (of all nights!!)...and missed all but the last 15 minutes of the show. But I saw what counted the most which was Tana's meltdown behavior and the happy moment of Kendra being hired.

I'll watch the entire show on tonight's CNBC rerun but here's what I think:

Trump & Co. were exactly right...Kendra remained under the radar for almost the entire season and emerged a STAR at what Donald referred to as 'Crunch Time'.

Tana must've known she was in DEEP trouble after the final task...she probably had no direction to turn except the one she decided on last night. Which was to go down fighting, however unprofessional she had to be. And I think in the end (meaning the final tirade I saw regarding the sportscar task) she was COMPLETELY unprofessional. I think at this point she knew she'd lost and this was her very last chance to make her stand. And she did.

I'm thinking Trump thought of Kendra's crying as somewhat unprofessional and unbusinesslike. But he did admit (as he did in the boardroom last week) that there was nothing really 'wrong' with it and probably felt that in the end Kendra's enough of a pro to be able to handle her emotions as she matures in the business world. And I agree...it seems Trump (and George and Carolyn) simply HAD to find something negative to focus on just for the sake of entertainment. If that and not stepping up as PM sooner was the worst they could pin on Kendra, then that's a BIG plus for Kendra!

I don't think The Apprentice is about hiring TWO people. It's about ONE person ultimately getting the top spot. So even if Tana had behaved better last night, after the final task there was no way she was going to be working for him.

Tana DID find an American Flag at the Olympics event...it was clearly pointed out to her. She just didn't feel at that point like initiating an effort to retrieve it. If only she'd realized the importance of at least TRYING to get that flag into the Governor's hands.

I can't wait to see the entire show tonight. Even knowing how it all ended, I'm sure it'll be an hour worth watching!

OMG!!!! I was going NUTS that night shouting at her (through my TV like a geek ) to climb up on there - anyway she could -and get THAT one!!

Apple, you saw the part of the show that mattered. They spent about 25 minutes on recaps. But I think as a fan, you will enjoy seeing it in it's entirety.

Oh, and you will see mentioned about The Apprentice - The Musical.

Is there anything sacred when it comes to the Donald???

Enjoy tonight!

Maybe the task for next season's Apprentice winner will be to organize and orchestrate the musical!

Has to be better than plugging the Trump bottled water!

Sidenote:

Another finale aired and behind us. Once I find out who wins the showdown of American Idol ( trainwreck ), I can stop watching reality shows completely until the fall when Apprentice starts up again - which in my opinion far surpasses any other show.

Just wondering if anyone else was watching AI? I thought Bo was very good. I also thought that Carrie was awful. She was shrieking on the high notes, off-key on the low notes and had no personality (not that that's something new). Trying to get through to vote for Bo, but busy, busy, busy.

Yea SB I watched it to. I agree with you about Carrie. Iwasn't thrilled with Bo's 1st song though but he was great with the other 2. I managed to get 3 votes in but I have a feeling it won't matter cuz the country girl will probably win. If Bo doesn't win I hope he will get a recording contract like Clay did. The results show will be on at 8pm instead of the usual 9pm.

Did anybody watch Rob & Ambuh's wedding tonight?

There were rumors that Bo was battling a cold the past few days and I thought his last song was a little rough but the judges didn't seem to address it much - which is good.

"Inside Your Heaven" is going to sound fabulous on the radio after Bo records it in a studio. His voice is always so pure. That is of course if he wins. If Carrie wins and records it, she will join the hoards of other screeching diva wannabees out on the airwaves. Nothing special.

Tune in tomorrow!

And yes, I caught Rob and Ambuh's wedding. Funny thing is that is was a very good show and I feel like those two are genuinely down to earth people - family oriented and devoted to each other. I was pleasantly surprised how well they treat each other and people around them.

The wedding itself (vows etc...) was one of the most heartfelt and beautiful I have ever seen - even in real life.

Ambuh sure does not act like a spoiled brat millionaire!! I hope these two are happy for a long, long time...

For the LAST time...

THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY

THE GOOD

Vonzell singing ala beautiful lounge singer pose on the piano with Billy Preston. Ex-cell-ent. Some of us still say she was robbed!

The loner friends (Dirk and ?) love story - ultimately ending with one's dream coming true in major orgasmic fashion, meeting his idol David Hasselhoff.

The whole Simon "CrimeTime Live - Bad Judgement" segment. Hilarious and a great way to poke fun at themselves and the whole Corey Clark scandal.

Spotting Lisa Rinna (Mrs. Harry Hamlin) in the audience cheering, having a good time and looking gorgeous as always.

Simon, Paula and Randy ALL looking very nice and classy in their duds.

The great performance from George Benson with Scott and Nikko doing vocals.

Carrie's performance with Rascall Flatts. That was the best she has EVER sounded right up there with "Alone". She sounds good when she sing soft.

The fact that I can't get Bo Bice's "Vehicle" tune out of my mind all night. :p

THE BAD

LaToya. Guuurrrl. Were you drunk? Too much celebrating being done in Alabama tonight!

The whole "Walk This Way" medley with Constantine, Jessica and Nadia. Horrendous. Ugliness in there but will discuss later in the appropriate category.

Mikaylah. Is she like 17 by now? Wow. The hair is fine, but she looks like she has aged about 25 years. Funny how I miss her in some weird, sick way.

Carrie grabbing not one but BOTH sets of car keys out of Ryan's hands when he held them up. No class tactic. Would have been allright to joke around about taking ONE, but both Miss Greedy Carrie?????

Anthony becoming COMPLETELY drowned out by Anwar's power vocals and Kenny G's sax.

Carrie becoming the American Idol. I won't be cruel and call it ugly because it wasn't. But still bad in my book.

Without further adeiu:

THE UGGGGLY

Leandra. LaShundra. Whatever. That person they let sing the National Anthem. I thought it was a cruel joke they were playing making fun of her UNTIL she walked out on stage! Did she know we were all laughing and horrified?

"Crunk" guy in N'awlins who demonstrated how to take out your gold teeth ala Flava Flav.

Constantine. I like this guy allright. I really do. But he looks like he has not had a shower since he got booted off the show!!!

Jessica Sierra's fishbelly white jelly belly. OMG- it was horrific. Paired with the black leather I-just-rode-in-on-my-Harley-from-Sturges halter top...can you say fashion "don't"? Can you say "yuck"?

Simon rallying to bring in Matt Rogers as Ryan's replacement. Noooo!

Bo losing. I so wanted to hear HIM record "Inside Your Heaven".
--

All that said, it was reported that Bo was so sick last night he actually puked between songs. I don't think that made a shred of difference as I think most people had their sights set on their favorite for the past week and voted in spite of performances last night.

Good luck to Bo - hope we hear him on the radio. I might hear Carrie if I listened to the country stations.

I realized tonight that all my reality shows have aired their finales and there are no more on the agenda. Now I can watch baseball in peace without using the picture-in-picture feature!

This thread will probably die off. There are only a handful of die-hard Idol/Apprentice fanatics here. Too bad. Notice how there were no uncivil disagreements or pissing contests here. Cool, huh?

Will have to come back in about 5-6 months and resurrect it when the Apprentice airs it's next season. Until then I'm pretty much done typing.

And the peasants rejoice!!

She (and the network, for allowing it) should be deported or something for treason. That performance was the equivalent of taking the American flag, putting it on the floor, and stomping on it until it was torn to shreds. Or worse, even.

But LDV... what was that THE GOOD list without Bo's "Sweet Home Alabama"?? That was AWESOME. Maybe we need a new category just for that. The good, the bad, the ugly, and the utterly awesome. First of all, it's awesome that he got to sing with the gods of Southern classic rock. Secondly, it's awesome that he pulled it off!! He sounded great, and so did the band. That was the highlight of the night for me. If it ends up being a slow week, it might be the highlight of my week, too.

So true LB. I was rushed, could you tell? :p

That performance of Sweet Home Alabama must have been like a dream come true for Bo and it was definitely the highlight of the night. He looked like a TRUE star!

Yes, agreed. Awesome!

I guess we won't be seeing Buffy on the BB any more now either... :p

I missed AI on Tue (forgot) and Wed (BB dinner) and just checked the results -- CARRIE?? I suppose on a marketting standpoint, she was the right choice. I just don't think she had the strongest voice (neither did Bo, nor many of the Top 12). Don't get me wrong - the country twang in her voice is hot, and Country music is one of the most popular in the country, so she'll probably do well. I just don't think she had the BEST voice/personality over ALL the 1000s of competitors. She'll do fine in the studio w/ all the gadgets they have to make her sound good. But, I wish her well.

I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! tongue lol
