One of the suspects who was arrested on August 7, 2020 at a major cocaine laundry in Nijeveen (Drenthe) is 40-year-old Colombian top criminal Alejandro C. He was sentenced in the United States to 32 years in prison in 2010 and released early in 2018, after which he returned to Colombia.
During the raid by an arrest team last summer, Alejandro C. was present in the cocaine laundry in a horse riding school in Nijeveen. According to the police, the cocaine laundry was the largest ever found in the Netherlands. The operation was a "drug laundry," in which drugs were "washed out" of clothes, according to police. According to the judiciary, the lab's annual turnover was good for more than 2.1 billion euros.

On Sunday it is 10 years they killed crime lord Stanley Marshall Hillis, many people said nothing went down in Amsterdam without his consent. Hillis was mentioned in many criminal cases as a person who knew everything. Hillis started his criminal career as a bank robber. He committed a number of robberies together with the notorious Yugoslav criminals Željko 'Arkan' Ražnatović and Kola Kostovski. Hillis quickly made a name for himself in the underworld, mainly because he escaped twice from the prison of Scheveningen and once from the Koepelgevangenis in Arnhem. He also managed to escape from the Bijlmer prison several times .
On February 21, 2011, Hillis was shot at around noon in the Watergraafsmeer in his car. He died on the spot. Hillis is said to have had an appointment with Donald Groen. The National Criminal Investigation Department was aware of this appointment and made sure that a trailer containing two detectives was parked next to the car. Those detectives would overhear the conversation between the two men. When the fire was opened on Hillis, there were several detectives in the immediate vicinity, but due to poor communication, this could not lead to the arrest of the perpetrators. Groen was arrested on his arrival shortly after the murder, but he was later released. Hillis was killed with 37 bullets .

When lawyers Nico Meijering and Leon van Kleef met a client in a hotel lobby in Dubai in June 2019, an unknown person joined them. The lawyers were shadowed by the Dubai Police because the Dutch police hoped that they would meet the then fugitive Ridouan Taghi in Dubai. The Algemeen Dagblad now writes that the police knew that the unknown man was the Irishman Daniel Kinahan, a man with an infamous name in the criminal world.
The two lawyers were talking to their client Khalid J. when a fourth person joined them. The Dutch police were in contact with the Dubai Police during the operation and thought for a short time that this person was Taghi. But because the identification was not sufficient, the man was not arrested.
Several police sources have now told the Algemeen Dagblad that the man (disguised with cap and glasses) was Daniel Kinahan. The Dubai detectives were able to identify Kinahan. The lawyers only wanted to say to the newspaper that "there was indeed someone who had no outward resemblance to Taghi." \ Daniel Kinahan has lived in Dubai since 2015. There he profiles himself as a bona fide businessman who is active as a boxing promoter, among other things. Irish police believe he is still involved in criminal cases.
The Kinahan family is notorious and embroiled in a bloody feud with Irish criminals. Father Christy Kinahan, who speaks Dutch, has been convicted of money laundering , among other things .
The police suspect that Ridouan Taghi has collaborated with the Kinahan's, who are in the drug trade on the Spanish Costa del Sol.

Henk R., aka the Black Cobra, was urgently transferred to the prison in Lelystad after a 'birthday GREETING ' with fireworks. R., who has been detained in the Dordtse Poorten prison facility in Dordrecht since last month, was surprised on Thursday evening with a fireworks display because of his seventieth birthday. Family and friends lit the fireworks outside the prison walls, which led to quite a commotion in Dordrecht. It now appears that the mayor of Dordrecht demanded from the judicial authorities on Friday that R. immediately leave his municipality. The Cobra was therefore transported to the Lelystad penal institution yesterday by special transport, his lawyer, Mark Teurlings, confirms when asked. “It is bizarre that a playful surprise arranged by third parties is charged to him after all that he has experienced without his knowing or being able to prevent it. I therefore strongly protest against the request for the transfer of the mayor, apparently for political gain, â€said Teurlings. On Monday, De Telegraaf revealed that Henk R., after serving a sentence of eighteen years in the US, is being prosecuted in the Netherlands for a double murder in 1993 in Antwerp. Henk R. was convicted in the US of conspiracy in connection with an ecstasy smuggling. After his transfer to the Netherlands, he is now serving an old sentence for drug trafficking and likely to be sentenced to life in the murder case that the Public Prosecution has started against him.

According to "insiders" she was ripping off Dutch traveller groups from Brabant as well as Moroccan groups. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. It's rumored that in the underworld there are pictures circulating of her maimed and dismembered remains. Don't know if that's really true though...could be that it's another urban myth that the journalists use to make this story seem a bit more sensationalist. De Telegraaf is the most sensationalist newspaper but also powerful with good connections. That's why Iliass K. ordered a group of criminals from within his prison cell to commit an attack on the editorial office of De Telegraaf in 2019, the attack with a car could have been much worse. After Taghi , Rico de Chileen and Piet Costa the new crime king is "Bolle Jos" aka 'El Presidente'. Josje comes from a crime family from Breda. His father belonged to the notorious Brabant Juliët gang.

In the Amsterdam hotel rooms where the police found six Colombians on 16 February after a deadly shooting in Bergen aan Zee, nearly 600,000 euros of cash was in suitcases.
Because the three men and three women are no longer in complete restrictions since this week, lawyer Koopman is now allowed to say something about the involvement of his client, a Colombian woman who lives in Madrid. She was “friends†or “acquaintances†with the 45-year-old Colombian who was shot dead on February 16 in a parking lot near the beach entrance of Bergen aan Zee.
According to the lawyer, the victim may have been held hostage. His wife and son allegedly put him in a car when he was shot and drove to the center. There the car was blocked by the police on Stationsstraat and the man died.
According to Koopman, several cars drove away from Bergen aan Zee that afternoon, both those of the gunmen and the six Colombian suspects. The suspected getaway car of the still fugitive gunmen (a white Mercedes with white German license plate) was found later that evening at a car company in Egmond aan den Hoef.
The six Colombian suspects were arrested in an Amsterdam hotel. Nearly six tons of cash was found in three hotel rooms. There would also have been two alarm pistols. The Colombians were initially suspected of murder, but after an investigation, the judiciary adjusted these charges to money laundering and illegal possession of weapons.
According to Koopman, the police and the judiciary knew immediately that the six had not fired, but 'belonged to the victim'.
The motive for the shooting is still unclear. It is suspected that the perpetrators come from Germany.

In the Netherlands when people are charged they don't release their last name? Journalists in the Netherlands will refrain from releasing the last name of an arrested underworld figure, except when they feel the name is already public knowledge (like Holleeder for instance). In the UK it's different. They release full names and everything. In the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany...they rarely release the last name. Especially in France they usually don't even release the first names of the criminals.

Prime suspect Taghi tomorrow for the first time at Marengo case, one of the largest trials ever Ridouan Taghi has never wanted to appear at a hearing in his case since he was arrested in Dubai a year and a half ago. Tomorrow he is expected in court for the first time.
"Because the court wants all suspects to be there," says his lawyer Inez Weski. "So we'll all be there."
Tomorrow morning the court in Amsterdam will start with the substantive treatment of the trial against Taghi and his 16 co-defendants. They may then respond to the charge. It was actually planned to start in February, but the court postponed the hearing for a month due to corona.
After three years of preparatory hearings, the Marengo trial has become one of the most controversial lawsuits in the Netherlands ever. It fits seamlessly into the list of mega-processes of recent years: Passage liquidation process (duration: ten years), the Holleeder case (file size: half a million pages) and the MH17 process (budgeted costs: 54 million euros).
Such exact figures are lacking for the Marengo trial, but it is certain that this case, measured in time, file pages and costs, is also gigantic. After tomorrow dozens of session days will follow, spread out over the coming year. A sentence is not expected until 2022 and ultimately, of course, a judgment.
Lawyer Inez Weski at the extra secure court in Amsterdam Osdorp on January 13, 2021 ANP
Where the case started with two suspects and one murder, the investigation ended with 17 suspects and a multitude of crimes. The group, in varying composition, is held responsible for six executed liquidations, a number of attempts to do so and a series of plans. The total number of murder orders in this case is thirteen according to the Public Prosecution Service.
Some targets are still alive because they could barely escape from a shooting or were in hiding in haste. Sometimes victims crawled through the eye of the needle without even realizing it.
A few liquidations failed because the gunmen did not monitor their phones, the weapon faltered or the police towed the prepared (stolen) getaway car.
The seventeen suspects would have worked together as spotter (someone who keeps an eye on the intended victims), head (shooter), driver, controller or client. In mutual reports they are said to have decided on life and death in a chilling tone.
Their undisputed leader was Ridouan Taghi , says the OM. As a cocaine wholesaler, he is said to have issued one murder order after another from Dubai.
Before and after The Marengo trial is about assassination orders from 2015 and 2016. Taghi is also associated with liquidations before that time, but is not prosecuted for that. He also ordered murders after that time, says justice. He would have used Caloh Wagoh motorcycle club for this. This group is on trial in a separate process, which is handled simultaneously with the Marengo process.
The most important evidence against the suspects comes from intercepted communications and statements by crown witness Nabil B., who stepped out of Taghi's organization when he was threatened with murder. B. is also on trial in the Marengo trial for his involvement in liquidations. In exchange for his statements, the Public Prosecution Service will demand 12 years in prison instead of 24 years.
Until now, the Public Prosecution Service has not missed an opportunity to emphasize that these are cold-blooded, serious criminals. The defense, on the other hand, wants to demonstrate that the Public Prosecution Service has gone too far in many respects: with the cracking of the server that yielded millions of messages as evidence, with the interpretation of all those messages, with the use of a crown witness who would be unreliable and with unorthodox detection methods such as shadowing lawyers.
Rule of law test "This trial is the ultimate test for the rule of law," says criminal lawyer Jillis Roelse, who is following the case closely. "There is discussion about a large number of points of principle. The interests of both the Public Prosecution Service and the defense are enormous."
According to Roelse, Marengo is also the process in which "our naivety is finally shaken off". "For many people in the criminal investigation system, this case has been a wake-up call to the enormous impact of organized crime."
In the course of the trial, both the brother and the attorney of the crown witness were murdered. A large number of participants in the Marengo trial are protected: prosecutors, judges and some lawyers. Since the murder of lawyer Derk Wiersum in 2019, every hearing has been accompanied by strict security measures.
“ The threat posed by the organization around Taghi is undiminished
Pieter-Jaap Aalbersberg, NCTV It shows how much serious crime has hardened, says Hans Nelen, professor of criminology at the University of Maastricht. "In the nineties, the time of Willem Holleeder, there was also intimidation and violence. But it seems that the current generation of criminals is more ruthless."
That is why heavily armed agents will again be at the door of the court tomorrow. "The threat posed by the organization around Taghi is undiminished," says Pieter-Jaap Aalbersberg, who coordinates the security of process participants as National Coordinator for Counterterrorism and Security.
The main suspects are detained, but the authorities are still taking their clout into account. "This means that we, together with the security services, the police and the Public Prosecution Service, continuously conduct threat analyzes and look at what measures are needed," Aalbersberg said.
Taghi become a hero On the street, Taghi has become a hero among some young people, notes criminologist Abdessamad Bouabid of Erasmus University in Rotterdam - just as Willem Holleeder became an idol before.
According to Bouabid, this has to do with a certain mentality that some of the young people identify with. Fussing about everyone, being tough, making money quickly and gaining status. "Taghi is the epitome of these street values. He has fooled the police for a long time and is someone who knows how to hit even the untouchables."
Taghi's lawyer is now green and yellow annoyed by all the stories that have been circulating about her client since the start of the trial. “Every line between law, injustice and fact has been broken in the public debate, only the sensation around my client seems to count,†attorney Inez Weski said earlier.
"Lies and Rumors" Taghi also does not want to pay any attention to his case, according to the first interrogation after his arrest, which Het Parool published about. He denies everything: "Truth-finding does not exist in my case. Everything is based on lies and rumors. Everything that happens in the Netherlands, I have probably done."
That he will eventually get a life sentence seems to be certain for the main suspect himself. "It is better to spend the money from this mock trial on the teacher shortage, on care, on the police shortage, than on me."

Taghi was probably first moved by helicopter from prison in Brabant to Amsterdam, because with those guys an escape attempt is possible even with all the security.
Extreme security at Amsterdam court as assassinations trial starts An extreme amount of security is surrounding the Amsterdam high-security court on Monday as the Marengo process is about to start. The trial revolves around the drug-centered gang allegedly run by Ridouan Taghi and multiple assassinations they are suspected of ordering or committing.
The first day of the trial started at 10:00 a.m. on Monday. Police cars are on the parking deck on the roof of the nearby MediaMarkt, a drone is circling in the air, and heavily armed police officers are on the street, ANP reports. Riot police officers are also present, and a police helicopter was spotted circling above the court bunker. The streets leading to the court are cordoned off on both sides.
A total of 17 suspects are on trial in the Marengo process, including Taghi himself. Almost all of them are expected to appear on Monday. Only Said R. will not appear. He is still in Colombia, awaiting extradition to the Netherlands.
Key witness Nabil B. linked this drug-centered gang to multiple murders and attempts thereto. This case already shook the Netherlands, when Nabil B.'s lawyer Derk Wiersum was assassinated in front of his Amsterdam home in September 2019. B.'s new lawyers were also found on a hit-list.
The suspects will be brought to court in armored vehicles, according to the news wire. The judges and public prosecutors were also taken to court by special transport.

According to the police, a kickboxing teacher in IJsselstein has recruited people for intimidation in Breda. That writes De Telegraaf. It concerns Revi V. (34) who was also involved in youth work. He is now in police custody. The Breda intimidations and shelling were aimed at a man in Breda who was said to belong to Roger “Piet Costa†P.'s group.
De Telegraaf writes that V. was arrested in the investigation into an attempt to extort a man and a woman. They were relatives of the intended target.
Since mid-October there have been four incidents in Breda, all aimed at a man who, according to Crimesite sources, would be called “Petje†(39). Revi V. would be seen by the police as someone who recruits young people for jobs of violence. Four people have been arrested. At least one of them, Brian Z., was a student of Revi V., writes De Telegraaf.
The police are investigating a conflict between Piet Costa and a former confidant of his Ali D., who is said to be staying in Dubai. Clues recently surfaced that Piet Costa's group allegedly tried to have Ali D. arrested in Dubai last year.

There's not a lot of information about who "Piet Costa" actually is. He's a Dutch guy from Rotterdam, right? Yes Roger is of Dutch origin I think his last name is Pieters or Pieterse that's why they call him Piet not sure though. Costa comes from his strong connections to Costa Rica. His group in court. ![[Linked Image]](http://cdn.nos.nl/image/2020/12/03/696423/3840x2160a.jpg)

I thought all the native Dutch drug traffickers in the Rotterdam area operated from Schiedam these days haha Yeah. Rotterdam is a working class city many tough 'volksbuurten' (people's neighborhoods) back in the days like Crooswijk, Rotterdam-South, Oude Noorden and Chinatown. A lot of dockworkers lol. But most dutch have now moved to the suburbs or towns like Schiedam.

Her disappearance, the torture chambers, several assassinations in the Rotterdam area, violence in Breda, corruption and seizures in the ports it's all connected some how.
