Gaetano Lucchese Born (by SC)
On this day in 1899 Gaetano "Tommy Brown" Lucchese was born in Palermo, Sicily.
Lucchese was one of the original five NY Family leaders when the Mob reorganized itself in 1931. It was one of his Family's crews that was featured in the movie "Goodfellas" (the Paul Vario crew). He remained a powerful figure until his death in 1967.
