Val Kilmer, Actor Revered for Playing Batman and Jim Morrison, Dies at 65

Charismatic and versatile, he also won praise for memorable roles as Iceman in ‘Top Gun’ and Doc Holliday in ‘Tombstone.'

He may not have had the best attitude in la la land, but none of us are perfect. I hope he rests.

To me, he will always be Chris Shiherlis. So long brother!

But you had to play it cool, had to do it your way
Had to be a fool, had to throw it all away

Once world's highest-paid actor, lost voice to cancer, quit Hollywood for kids, yet remained a star. A difficult man but often underrated as an actor. Kilmer studied acting at the famous Juilliard Drama School in New York . He was the youngest student in history to be admitted to Juilliard. 65 is still too young RIP

Heard some stories that he was difficult to work with. Other say he was passionate which I completely respect. Either way, I met him once after his cancer and he was nice. Obviously wasn't able to say much but I'll remember him fondly. What he did with the Doc Holliday character in TOMBSTONE is nothing short of a master class.
