CHAPTER 1


Micheal Corleone sat in the leather armchair, the window overlooking the rest of the mall.
To his other side, was the fat, jolly Pete Clemenza.
Tom Hagen poured him a drink.
" Micheal, I want you to remember something."
" We're all going to miss your father."
Micheal's face was impassive.
Clemenza cleared his throat, he nodded when Hagen handed him the drink.
" Mikey, I just wanna' know, what happened to Sally?"
Micheal nodded. " He turned on us Pete."
Clemenza, saddened, seemed to have understood immediatley.
He nodded his head in a vague expression of opinion.
He frowned and left the room.
Al Neri. It was Al Neri who had killed Tessio.
Two shots two the head.
Micheal got up from the chair, to now join the rest of the party, out by the parked limousine. The mall itself was still an impenatrable fortress, as ordered by Vito Corleone.
Micheal sat in the middle of the seats, Tom joining him to his right.
Mike gestured to Rocco Lampone, in the front seat.
Al walked over to the limo. Mike whispered " Al, I want you to call Fred, tell him we're coming over in a couple of hours."
Al nodded.
They were to be meeting Fredo in Las Vegas.
Fredo was still sore at Micheal for killing Moe Greene, but didnt dare say anything.
Inside, Neri dialed Fredo's number.
It rung for nearly a minuite, until a wary Fredo picked it up.
" Yeah?"
" Its me, Al--"
Fredo's apparent wariness was plausible.
" Hey Al, what'dya' need?"
" Mike's gonna' be coming over to see how things are over there, OK?"
Fredo was flushed.
Fredo nodded. " Yeah."
Neri nodded, and hung up the receiver.
He grabbed a revolver, put it in his jacket and went out to meet the rest of the party in the limo.
Neri seats himself to the other side of Micheal.
Micheal asks, " Well, did you tell Freddie?"
Neri nods. " Yeah, told em we'll be over in a couple of hours."
They drove away.
Neri begins, " So whyre we gonna' visit Fred"?
Micheal says, " We need to make sure he's watching out for himself, Fred's stupid, thats why we have Lucy out there, to keep an eye on him."
Hagen sighs.
Hagen speaks, " Jules is also still out there, he still helps Fredo out."
Al Neri's face flushed.


A day prior to when Micheal went to meet Fredo, Micheal was met by Amerigo Bonasera, with a favor to ask.

Al was not the one that killed Tessio.
It was Willie Cicci, jsut correcting you other than that small mistake i like the idea (hoping to bring this forum back from the dead).

How about Chapter 2? Write some more...

Micheal tapped Neri's shoulder, " Cigarette?" Neri handed him one.
"Rocco, take us over to the suite, over in Brooklyn, Clemenza's got his guys up there". Rocco nodded, in contempt.
Rocco, since day one hadnt quite seen Micheal as the man for the job.
That is, he never respected him as boss.
Micheal was sweating. They would be meeting Freddie and telling him about the Deaths of Tattalgia and Barzini. Fredo had come up in Brooklyn, leaving Molinari down in Vegas for awhile. It was obvious that his brother, now, even more like his father was more fit for the position.


At the funeral of Nino Valenti, Johnny Fontane, Lucy Mancini, and surprisingly the young Don Micheal Corleone had shown up. It was a cold evening, with the priest rushing through the usual ceremony. It wasnt a sad occasion. Micheals face was impassive as he dropped his roses on Ninos grave, giving Fontane a grimace as a greeting. As the funeral came to a close, and Micheal went to the car, ready to go to Brooklyn Fontane tapped Neris shoulder.
Neri turned around in disgust. His ex wife had always had his records playing. And why the hell was he held in such high regards with the late don? Neri could see behind all the charm, just another bullshit artist, as Neri thought.
" Hey, could you get me in some time to see Mikey?"
Neri nodded his head and walked into the limosine.
Neri began, his face flushed, the Fontane kid wants to know when he can get in to see you".
" Just tell him that Im not sore about..."
"what"? Neri asked with real interest.
Lampone intervened " Which apartment number is Fredo in?"
"28" Micheal said. Fredo would be quickly debreifed on what had happened.
And that would be it. Despite whatever Vito may have told him, Micheal
would at least try to keep his brother uninvolved in any vendettas, as a result of the war.
Neri broke the brief silence " Fredo still on your shit list"?
" Huh"?
"You still sore at him"?
Micheal nodded, in resignation.
" You okay, Tom?"
He had forgotten Hagen was even in the car.
